Earlier this week, we drove with some friends to Floresville, Texas. Is it a little weird that we would drive an hour just to get ice cream? Perhaps. But what better place to get peach ice cream than a peach orchard!
We visited Rhew Orchard House, located along a gravel road east of Floresville, and enjoyed a big dish of deliciousness. The peach was very subtle, not overpowering, and the ice cream was really refreshing on a hot summer day.
You’ll need to call to varify that they’re open before you head out, since the hours listed on their website are for peach season only. I hope you’ll visit; it’s definitely worth the drive from San Antonio!
