Disney Cruisin’

We went on a Disney cruise, and it was surprisingly awesome. I knew my daughter would love it, and she is the reason we chose to embark on a cruise rather than fly to Hawaii or the Virgin Islands. My little girl will be a five-year-old only once, and what better time than now to sail away on the Disney Dream? What I didn’t expect was how much fun my husband and I would have. We were pretty depressed that last morning when the ship’s broadcast system informed us that the ship had been cleared by Customs and it was time to disembark.

This week and next, I’ll be sharing tales from our cruise. I’ll give you the scoop on everything from the stateroom to food to the ports-of-call that we visited in the Bahamas. First up will be our verandah stateroom…stay tuned later this week.

In the meantime, here are a few pictures of our adventures aboard the Disney Dream:

looks amazing and thanks for all the tricks and tips! i cannot wait! i guess the only thing that would make it more perfect was a little floating casino with everything else. had E wanted to go to the childcare areas more do you think you guys wouldve still had plenty to do?

    • Yes, i think we would have found plenty to do. The ship has an adults-only pools, a couple bars, and some nighclub areas. We didn’t get to explore these much, but we did have some drinks poolside while E went to the Oceaneer’s Club for about two hours. No casino, but plenty of other fun stuff.

  2. Looking forward to your pictures! Glad to hear you had a wonderful time too! She is the perfect age to take on this cruise. What fun! Four years later and my kids still keep asking when we’ll go on a Disney cruise again. =)

  6. I sort of feel the same way about all things Disney travel-related… gah. But I love your attitude… they are only this age once. You’re making me reconsider my bah hum bug-ness. ;) And it does look pretty awesome!
