If you’ve heard of Hash House A Go Go, it might be thanks to an episode of Man Vs. Food in which Adam tries the fried chicken benedict and the stuffed breakfast burger. The fact that this restaurant was featured on the show should tell you something about the portion sizes. Of course, they’re enormous. We’re talking pancakes the size of a medium pizza.
During our recent visit to Hash House, I ordered the Basic Breakfast, which consisted of potatoes, two eggs, a huge biscuit, bacon, and fruit. The eggs and fruit were nothing special, but the biscuit was delicious as were the potatoes (and I’m usually not a fan of breakfast potatoes).
My husband orderd the blueberry pecan pancake, and I tried a bite. It was outstanding. I liked that they didn’t overdue it on the quantity of blueberries and pecans.
The atmosphere of this restaurant is definitely fun and family-friendly. The service is friendly and quick. I also loved the fun music that played during our meal, everything from Lady Gaga to Tony! Toni! Toné! to Tom Jones. In fact, my daughter and I might have had a little dance party in the girls bathroom as we were washing our hands. Maybe.

Mmmm…love the Hash House. You aren’t kidding when you said the portions are huge though. We left tons of leftovers, despite my heroic efforts to finish everyone’s meals.
